Old Wharf Soap Co. began with my journey to better health. After struggling with health issues, I discovered the transformative power of an animal-based diet centered around local grass-fed beef. While my health improved significantly, my skin continued to suffer from years of using mainstream skincare products filled with harmful chemicals. I realized that simplicity was key for both my diet and my skincare.

Old Wharf Soap Co. is more than my story. It's rooted in the history of the Grannell family on Chebeague Island, where generations ago cattle were raised, fields were plowed, and tallow was rendered into soap by hand. That tradition of making do with what the land provided lives on in every bar we craft today.

Our soaps are crafted with the highest-quality organic tallow from grass-fed beef, combined with simple, natural ingredients. The result is a product that cleanses effectively while nourishing the skin.
